Stars Worshipping
Nowadays, many young people are showing more and more interest in worshipping stars. “Idols” and “fans” have become hot words that flood in our daily life.
To my best understanding, several factors can be recognized to account for this phenomenon. In the first place, young people begin to pay attention to their appearance, so that they follow those cool and fashionable to copy their hairstyles and taste in clothes. In the second, “stars” is the favorite topic of peers’ conversation. Those who have no idols seem to be an outcast behind of times. And additionally, with the hype of the media, many talented stars are put on the stage constantly, which leads this worshipping to continue and develop.
Above all, this phenomenon has generated some positive impacts. For one thing, some sensible young people benefit from their idols’ virtue. For instance, some fans clubs are encouraged by their idols to do volunteer works. For another, such stars worshipping can promote the development of the entertainment business. However, it also has a detrimental influence. Blind worshipping distracts young people from their study, which results in their poor school behavior and overuse of money on the posters, CDs and concert tickets.
